Tympanometry as a screening tool for doctors

This 2014 study looked at the rates of detection, diagnosis and treatment of middle ear disease when using tympanometry, pneumatic otoscopy and non-pneumatic otoscopy.

The study found that rates of detection and treatment were increased when tympanometry was implemented into clinical practice in a doctor's office setting.
